To my neighbors, fellow homeowners, and the people of Ohio.
“I’ve been thinking about writing this for a long time.
If you’ve spent any time researching roofing companies, you’ve probably seen my name, heard opinions about me, or maybe even wondered why I came back to Ohio in the first place.
I figured the best person to answer that question is me.
The truth is, Ohio has never stopped being home.
I was born and raised in Cleveland. Long before I owned a company, long before my name was on trucks and buildings, I was just a kid growing up here. The values I carry today were shaped by the people, neighborhoods, and communities that raised me.
And the older I get, the more important that becomes.
As I write this, I’m sitting in my bedroom, surrounded by reminders of the people who helped make me who I am. Some of those people are no longer here. Their pictures, their memories, and the lessons they left behind are still with me every day.
Maybe that’s part of what brought me back. Life has a way of reminding you where your roots are.
Over the years, I’ve worked all over the construction industry. I’ve installed roofs for other companies, worked with builders, partnered with manufacturers, and learned how this business operates from just about every angle.
I’ve also seen things that never sat right with me… homeowners pay for roofs that weren’t installed the way they should have been… people trust contractors who disappeared when problems came up… companies focus so much on growth that they forgot the people they were supposed to be serving.
And honestly, that’s one of the reasons I came home.
Not because Ohio needed another roofing company. Because Ohio deserves roofing companies that care.
Some people have called me a storm chaser.
I understand why.
When storms hit, we go where people need help.
That’s always been true.
But what people don’t always see is what happens after the storm is gone.
The conversations around kitchen tables, families trying to understand insurance paperwork, homeowners wondering who they can trust, people who simply want someone to tell them the truth.
Those are the moments that matter to me. Because this business was never about roofs. It’s about people.
The roof is simply the thing they’re trusting us to protect.
When someone invites us to their home, they’re trusting us with one of the biggest investments they’ll ever make. That’s something I’ve never taken lightly.
It’s also why I’ve always believed there is a right way and a wrong way to do this work.
Manufacturers publish installation requirements for a reason. Warranties matter for a reason. Attention to detail matters for a reason.
Because when the next storm comes through, homeowners deserve to know their roof was installed correctly the first time.
They deserve peace of mind.
More than anything, though, I want people to know that my name on this company isn’t just branding.
It’s personal.
One day, my daughter will see that name. My family will see that name. The community that raised me will see that name.
And I need to know it stands for something. Not perfection, flashy marketing, empty promises.
Integrity, pride, and accountability.
If we ever make a mistake, we’ll have the conversation and we’ll make it right. That’s how I’ve always approached life, and it’s how I’ve always approached business.
At this stage of my life, success means something different than it used to.
Success isn’t how many roofs we install. It’s is knowing that the people who trust us felt taken care of when everything was finished.
That’s what matters to me.
I came back to Ohio because this is where my story started. This is where I learned what hard work means, and it’s where I learned that your reputation follows you long after the job is done.
And this is where I want to continue helping people.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Whether you’ve worked with us before or you’re simply learning about us for the first time, I’m grateful you’re here.
This is home. It always will be.”
Sincerely,
Blake Chappelle
